Counsel to Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
1992 to date

Provide legal advice to Foreign Ministry and to Colombian Consulate regarding U.S. Laws and procedures. Represent Colombian government in State and Federal Court as needed. Meet with Immigration officials, customs officials, U.S. attorneys, local prosecutors and prison officials. Meet with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bogota, Colombia, Research Federal and State statutes relating to Colombian prisoners. Assist Colombian Consulate in custody matters; visit and review cases of Colombians incarcerated in N.Y., N.J., Pa., Conn.

Worked in Major Crimes Division during the period that former Attorney General Janet Reno, was serving as Assistant District Attorney. Assisted in preparation of brief Jack Roland Murphy v. State of Florida 421 U.S. 794 (1975).
